601ARTBOOK PROJECT2006 POSTERS
A cheerful scattering of bright flowers sits on delicates black typography in this poster advertising
a Korean artbook festival. Designed by Park kum-jun of the Seoul-based firm 601bisang, the pretty,
pop-art style was intended to set a pleasant tone for an environment devoted to artbooks, and also to furnish a metaphor for intellectual flowering.
The jurors admired the submission but were especially impressed by its pendant, a work that recycled the first poster by silk-screening a bold black field over it with
the dates of the event dramatically dropped out. “Anytime you layer stuff, it’s beautiful.” said Sahre.
