비닥(VIDAK)은 한국 시각디자인 분야의 대표단체이다. 2번째 발간된 이 비닥 연감-Communication Design in Korea: VIDAK 2005 는 1년여의 장기 프로젝트로 비닥의 정체성 확립과 한국디자인의 역량을 국제적으로 알리자는 의도에서 제작되었다. 이 책은 협회의 작품을 모은 연감의 의미를 뛰어 넘어 비닥 회원들과 더 나아가 한국 디자이너들의 어울림을 표현하고자 했다. 책을 관통하고 있는 콘셉트는 ‘어울림’으로 책의 페이지 넘김이라는 물질적 움직임과 그 시간 속에서 위치하는 순환적 일러스트레이션은 현대 인간 삶의 모습들로 구체화된다. 또한 가볍게 비치면서 연관되는 축적적이고 상징적인 형상들은 우리 삶의 단편을 의미한다. 결국 디자이너들의 어울림의 축제다.

VIDAK is the leading organization representing Korea's visual design community. This book, in addition to being an annual collection of works by the members of VIDAK, also seeks to illustrate the harmony ('Oullim') between VIDAK members and other Korean designers. This annual for the VIDAK was created by incorporating the various phases of evolving human life and presents the harmony among the VIDAK members as well as all designers in a larger context.
