2013 광주디자인비엔날레 심벌마크는 주제어인 '거시기, 머시기'를 부각시키는 동시에 한글을 기하학적인 이미지로 활용해 또 다른 매력을 전하고 있으며, 여기에 숨겨진 함축적의미까지 시각적으로 나타냈다. 다양한 의미를 가장 단순하게 보여주기 위해 한글의 자음과 모음만을 활용하여 '거시기 머시기' 라는 단어에 담긴 소통과 관계의 미학을 표현하였다.

The logo expresses this year’s theme, “Anything, Something” and at the same time visualizes implied meaning of the words by using geometric characters of Hangeul as images. To deliver the multiple meanings in the simplest way, consonants and vowels are used to narrate the aesthetics of communication and relationship of the words, “Anything, Something”.
