전통과 현대가 공존하는 '서울'을 하트와 동그라미로 형상화 하였다. 하트 모양은 ‘ㅅ’ ‘ㅓ’ ‘ㅜ’ 또는 ‘ㄹ’로 변주되면서 한글로 읽힌다. 좌우로 배치된 구조는 서로 마주보며 함께 하는 서울 (시민)을 상징하기도 한다. 심플하면서도 다양한 표정을 상상할 수 있게 구성했다.

The hearts and circles are used to represent the city of Seoul where traditional and modern charms co-exist. The hearts are laid out to appear and be read as the Korean consonants and vowels of “ㅅ”, “ㅓ”, “ㅜ”, and “ㄹ”, with the circles representing “ㅇ” and completing the word “서울 (Seoul)” in combination. The symmetric arrangement signifies the city’s (or citizens’) effort to join hands and march forward. The overall design is simple yet conveys multiple messages.
